Healthy Balance
Is not a diet, but rather a class centered on educating participants on how to make small, healthy lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy weight or weight loss. Covering why diets don't work, body composition, exercise, nutrition, menu planning, labels & supplements, stress, and more.

Cost $75.00;  Materials $25.00;  Meets once a week for one hour;  runs 6 weeks


Aerobic Walking Workout 

Walking done right is one of the best head to toe workouts we can do for ourselves. It works all our major muscles, and is a great way to ease into exercise. The class will be lead by Weight Management Coach Dot Parkes and will meet once a week for one hour. You will learn about intensity, duration, footwear, timing, mileage and correct walking movement to incorporate into your walking workout.

Cost is $60.00 - for 3 months. Walking locations will be selected and ready for first class. 


Healthy Dish Group 

Is a fun and informative group which meets once a month for 6 months. The group will be exchanging recipes and will bring and sample healthy dishes made from recipes you enjoy or have come across. It is hosted by Nutrition Specialist Dot Parkes, and Dot will supply recipes and treats for our first class. Each meeting we will draw names from our group to bring a healthy dish and recipe to share for our next meeting. Everyone is encouraged to bring a recipe each month. Dot will collect them and have copies put together for our next meeting. Dot will lead the group in discussion, share tips and tools toward healthy cooking... a social, healthy time.

Cost $30.00 Meets once a month for one hour; runs 6 months


Menu Planning 

For those of us who want to eat healthy but look into a full refrigerator and say... What's to eat. This class will review our basic food groups and help students to create sample menus to follow. This is done by choosing a few students each week to structure a food plan in class, then everyone will be asked to create their own for the week to come.

Cost $72.00 one hour - runs 6 weeks


Weight Management Awareness Group

This group is for people who are just starting to think about managing their weight, but do not know where to start or how committed they can be. We will discuss options, current diet plans, what's safe and what is shaky. Why exercise? How much exercise is needed? And how to start creating healthy lifestyle changes. There are no calories to count in this group.

Cost $72.00 one hour runs for 6 weeks
